SUMMARY
______

The Project

The Two Down Project is an educational exploration of Australia and her people. One man on a motorcycle will be followed by hundreds of schools representing thousands of students as well as anyone else on the Internet who wants to come along. On a constantly changing basis, they can access the sights, sounds, thoughts and beauty of the Land Down Under.

At the end of the journey, the adventure and discoveries will also be published in an interactive CD Rom and book.  It will show the beauty of Australia and her people. The Two Down Project will combine photographs of Australia's scenic wonders with portraits and quotations from people who live amidst that splendor. The project will last for approximately six months.

The Traveler

Seasoned motorcyclist, travel writer, and photographer Dave Shultz will be making the long and arduous trip on a motorcycle.  Taking along camera and laptop computer, he will record his travels in pictures and words.

Companions
Along the Way
The web site will have daily updates, digital photography, interviews, and will be the medium for communication between various school groups around the United States and Australia that will be following the trip.

The Book

Photography will document the trip and will result in an interactive CD Rom and book to be published after completion of the journey.  Quotes from both children and adults will accompany the photography of the landscape.

Goals

To make the world a little more familiar through Internet communication for both students and armchair travelers alike.

Funding

The Two Down project will require private funding.  This funding will allow for the extended travel required to produce a comprehensive overview of the landscape and people of Australia. Donations are tax deductible since Two Down is a project of Ed Online, Inc., a non-profit corporation.
