Steel Foundry
 _________
Of all the industrial photography I've done, I think I enjoyed shooting in steel foundries the most.  This is in the GH-Hensley Foundry in Dallas, Texas and this shot was for the GH-Hensley Annual Report.  I did a shot here that was used on the cover of Foundry Magazine but I prefer this one.  In normal procedures when pouring from the ladle to the bucket, there is very little sparking.  In order to get this dramatic shot, I had the operator deliberately hit the edge of the bucket so we would get some interesting sparks.  He did an excellent job and kept the pour under control.
