- There is a unique blend of the old and the new in Hong Kong. The city is
filled with huge skyscrapers that were built with bamboo scaffolding. The
bamboo is tied together and rises with the building. This particular building
was about twenty stories and growing. The workmen climbed the bamboo without
safety lines and built ultra modern building....the old fashioned way.
