Dave Shultz

 I think a line from a Jimmy Buffet song best sums up my life:

"Yes I am a pirate,
200 years too late;
The cannon don't thunder,
There's nothing to plunder;
I'm an over 40 victim of fate."

I spent 25 years in Dallas, working as a commercial photographer. I got into computers as a way to bypass the airbrush stage in photography and found a real affinity for the electronic medium. Now, I live in Ruidoso, New Mexico with my wife Marilyn.  I live in the cool mountains and still work at a variety of things. I work for RuidosoWeb Corp. and still do a little commercial photography.  Life here is a little slower than the big city and a lot less stressful.

I still love to travel and spend as much time as possible touring on Moto Guzzi motorcycles. The mountains of New Mexico are a great place to start. Ruidoso is home to the Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally every year in September when about 50,000 fellow enthusiasts show up for a week. If you ride, this is the place to be in September.

When I'm not working on web pages in Ruidoso, I travel around the world and write about it.  You can read some of my stories in TravelLady Magazine or view some of my photographs here.

If you have any comments or questions please send me some mail.
